Pet Figurine Workshop with Dave Short

Pet Figurine Workshop with Dave Short

Learn how to use pinching and sculpting techniques to create small figurines of your favourite animal, with Great Pottery Throwdown Finalist Dave Short.

We will work on quickly shaping small pieces of terracotta clay to capture animal poses or suggest movement. A coloured slip can be used to add detail if required. During the 2-hour session, we will make numerous animal figures and try many different poses. At the end you will choose 4 to be fired and glazed. If you wish to have more than 4 fired, there will be a charge of £4 for each additional piece. The pieces will be ready for collection within 4 weeks.

No prior experience is required, but those who have worked with clay before can make their design more challenging!

Classes are held in our bright, airy second-floor workshop at the Broadway Museum. Class price includes free access to our collections and exhibition.

We recommend you park in our nearby long-stay car parks. Shear House is the closest to us at a 4-minute walk and can be managed through Ringo.
