William Morris style tiles with The Great Pottery Throwdown Finalist Dave Short

A group of celebrated Victorian artists settled in Broadway, making the town an important centre of the “Arts and Crafts” movement. One of these artists was William Morris, who’s distinctive floral designs were used to decorate household items like wallpaper and tiles.

In this workshop you will:

  • Learn a little about William Morris’ floral designs
  • Design, make and decorate a terracotta tile using carving, slip decoration and sgraffito
  • Take away your unfired tile, or choose to pay an additional £4 to have your tile glazed and fired. You will be informed when it is ready for collection from Evesham.

Suitable for beginners and those with a little experience aged 10 and over
